Dylan Petitcuenot ~ Soccer .

Dylan Petitcuenot is an 11 year old boy from Gymea who recently returned from playing football in Spain, participating in the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC Cup). The MIC Cup is an elite soccer tournament drawing teams from around the world.

Dylan has spent the past 5 years playing club football with the Gymea United Football Club and joined the Sydney Football Academy two years ago to undertake additional skills training. In 2015 the Sydney Football Academy selected a team of boys to participate in a soccer tour in South America. Dylan was selected out of 200+ young people to participate and he spent two weeks in Uruguay playing soccer at an elite level. In 2015 his dedication and commitment to training gained him a position in the Sutherland Shire district representative team - Sutherland Sharks.

Upon commencing training with the Sharks Rep team in December 2015 Dylan was invited to participate in the MIC Cup held in Barcelona, Spain. The tournament trip provided the opportunity for players to experience playing soccer against others from famous international soccer clubs and also offered training sessions at the Read Madrid training centre with coaches from Real Madrid.

The competition in the MIC Cup was outstanding and having the opportunity to participate in this level of soccer at such a young age gave Dylan the chance to really experience the international soccer culture. This experience has encouraged Dylan to continue to build his skills and follow his passion and we thank the Monty Porter Foundation for their support.
